Infuse your Olive Oils

You know when you find a brilliant recipe, you get started in the kitchen and you want to really enhance its flavour? You need one of those photos they have on Facebook that gets your friends all excited, the ones that have 200 likes and everyone says “Hey, when are you inviting us round?”

Want to amaze your guests?

Easy peasy: by flavouring or infusing your Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain with fresh herbs, all kinds of spices and other ingredients that boost their flavour and personality.

Let’s get started…

Coriander oil

(ideal for dressing for all kinds of fish and salads)

Ingredients:

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain
  • Coriander seeds
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Mustard seeds
  • Orange peel

Method:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry all the ingredients.
  2. Now follow the steps in the following video:

 

  1. Store in a cool, dark place for one or two weeks. As the days pass, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain will absorb all the aromas of the herbs and spices.

Herb-infused spice oil

(Enhances the flavour of meat, poultry, salads and vegetables)

Ingredients:

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Fresh thyme
  • Fresh sage
  • Bay leaves
  • Peppercorns
  • Garlic

Herb-infused spice oil

Method:

  1. The process is the same as for the Coriander Oil. Watch the following video for guidance.
