French Toast

With the arrival of the holidays, a great way to keep children entertained is to involve them in the kitchen and prepare fun and kid-friendly recipes. That said, here are some examples of easy dishes that use Spanish extra virgin olive oil to make with the little ones.

Cheese Bread Pancake

For this recipe, you’ll need one cup of milk, two-fourths of a cup of Spanish extra virgin olive oil, three eggs, two cups of sour tapioca starch, 50 grams of grated cheese, and a pinch of salt.

To prepare, start by adding the liquid ingredients to a blender and blend well. Then, add the dry ingredients and continue blending until the mixture becomes smooth and homogeneous. Once done, grease a frying pan and heat it over low heat. Finally, add a generous portion of the batter into the pan, spread it evenly, and wait for it to turn golden before flipping it over.

Tomato, Garlic, and Ham Toast

There’s nothing better than starting the day with a good breakfast. And what better way than with a delicious slice of bread topped with tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil from Spain!

To make this toast, first, we peel the tomatoes and garlic. For this recipe, we recommend using ripe tomatoes of the pear variety as they are more fleshy and sweeter than other tomatoes. Once the tomatoes and garlic are peeled, we crush them together with salt and extra virgin olive oil.

Next, we toast the bread. If you don’t have a toaster, you can do it directly in the oven or in a pan. To finish, we spread the tomato, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil mixture onto the toasted bread and place the cured ham on top. Easy and delicious!

Spanish Olive Oil Fruit Smoothie

To prepare it, simply add the juice of one orange, 4 raspberries, 1 red apple cut into pieces, and 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil from Spain into a blender. You can include a tablespoon of sugar and a few drops of vanilla essence to give it a more kid-friendly touch.

Blend it for a few minutes and then let it chill in the fridge until it’s nice and cold. You’ll have a healthy and perfect summer drink!

Next, dip slices of brioche bread into the flavored milk. Then, beat a couple of eggs and dip the slices into the egg mixture.
